At the time of the engagement (2009–2013), the largest food distributor in Ukraine, one of the country’s largest manufacturers of frozen convenience foods and ice cream, and the leading regional dairy brand in the East of Ukraine.

During the engagement, we comprehensively reorganized the entire business - from the management system to the development of a new product portfolio and the relaunch of its brands.

Some of the many areas of work included:

We developed and implemented new brand positioning (including a complete redesign) for the dairy business, developed and launched a number of new products (most of which became genuine bestsellers, including the product shown in the photograph).

In the ice cream business, for example, we significantly strengthened the product portfolio by removing underperforming products and developing and launching new SKUs. We also created and implemented a new positioning strategy and go-to-market approach.

A major separate initiative focused on ice cream distribution, where we developed and implemented a new merchandising standard and significantly improved the efficiency of freezer utilization.
By the end of 2012, the business had become one of the three most profitable ice cream companies in Ukraine despite competing against significantly larger market players. The company gained the ability to substantially increase prices (resulting in a significant improvement in gross profit) while simultaneously increasing its market share at the expense of competitors.
The company’s dairy division experienced substantial growth and delivered record financial results throughout every year of our engagement.
A very similar success story was achieved in the frozen convenience foods business.
The distribution business – which was deeply unprofitable and experiencing severe negative trends at the beginning of our engagement – achieved healthy profitability, significantly improved performance across a number of key long-term business indicators, and was recognized as the Best Supplier to National Retail Chains in 2012.

Andriy studied business in universities in Ukraine, the United States, and Austria. In 2001, he became one of the first Ukrainians to earn the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation through the globally recognized CFA Institute program.

He has a significant number of successful cases in the development and launch of new products (more than 40) across various industries. He also has successful experience in rebranding and relaunch campaigns for several leading national and regional brands.
His greatest experience is in the following industries: food production and distribution, FMCG, healthcare, retail, e-commerce, and professional services.
He has experience in startup projects as a co-founder, manager, or functional lead, including: a full-service digital marketing agency (2016–present), a product IT company (2022–present), a food production and export business (2021–present), and an online retail business (2009–2014).
He received business education in Ukraine and Germany. He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish.


More than 20 years of experience in investment project evaluation, new business concept development, strategy formulation and implementation, and building effective management teams.
His focus includes company restructuring, operational improvements, market research and new project evaluation, change management, and the implementation of solutions that create value for companies and entrepreneurs. He has completed more than 100 projects of varying complexity. He also has experience building several successful businesses from the ground up.
His deepest industry experience includes residential, commercial, and industrial real estate, trade, energy efficiency, healthcare, steel manufacturing, apparel, industrial lubricants, and others.
He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and is fluent in English and French.
